It is possible to pass only some of values - only those which need to be updated.

Each color can recieve 3 parameters: {fieldname} - as hex value. {fieldname}_alpha - opacity value and {fieldname}_rgba as rgba value ({red},{green},{blue},alpha}). You can pass only rgba value, but it might not work everywhere.
